ExactBlue Total Bacteria and Fungi Test

Wholesale broad-spectrum microbial test that replaces 48-hour R2A and m-HPC plate cultures. Screens for total bacteria and fungi in a single vial — no incubator, no plating.

How it works

Each vial contains a broad-spectrum chromogenic chemistry that responds to both bacterial and fungal metabolic activity. Add the water sample, incubate at room temperature, and read the color change at 48 hours.

Detection limits

  • Sensitivity: 200 CFU/mL (combined bacteria + fungi)
  • Time to result: 48 hours at 20–35°C

How it works

ELB is the broadest-target product in the line — it reacts to both bacteria and fungi (yeasts / molds). Sensitivity is set tighter than the bacteria-only products (200 CFU/mL vs 500 CFU/mL) so it serves as a drinking-water heterotrophic plate count replacement.
