AquaVial Splash — Pool & Hot Tub Water Test Kit

Wholesale recreational-water test for hospitality operators, splash-zone distributors, and pool/spa service companies. Screens for Pseudomonas aeruginosa and total bacteria in one dual-channel vial.

How it works

Each vial contains two chromogenic dye channels: one selective for Pseudomonas aeruginosa (the organism responsible for hot-tub folliculitis) and one for total bacteria. Add the sample, hold at 20–25°C, and read the color change after 24–48 hours.

Detection limits

Target Sensitivity Time
Pseudomonas aeruginosa 1 CFU/mL 24–48 hr
Total bacteria 500 CFU/mL 24–48 hr

Applications

  • Hot tubs and spas — folliculitis risk control
  • Hotel pools and splash pads
  • Recreational water facility QA
  • Pool/spa service routes

Key features

  • Dual-channel Pseudomonas + total bacteria readout
  • Room-temperature incubation, no instrument
  • Color-coded visual result
  • Manufactured in Canada under ISO 9001

How it works

AquaVial Splash combines two chromogenic vials — one selective for Pseudomonas aeruginosa (hot-tub folliculitis risk, 1 CFU/mL sensitivity) and one for total bacteria (500 CFU/mL action threshold). Both run at room temperature with no incubator.

1

Collect 5 mL pool / hot tub sample into each of the 2 vials

2

Cap; place at room temperature on a flat surface

3

Bacteria vial: read at 24 hr · Pseudomonas vial: read at 48 hr

4

Any visible color change → confirm hot-tub treatment / drain protocol

Comparison

vs. traditional lab testing

Traditional method

Membrane filtration lab culture (ISO 9215 R2A media (7 day incubation))

Off-site, multi-day turnaround. Requires lab account, membrane filtration manifold, and qualified microbiology technician. Per-test cost from $40–$120 plus shipping.

With ExactBlue

On-site, same-day result

Targeted Pseudomonas detection without a microbiology lab. Two channels in one kit covers both routine bacteria checks and the specific hot-tub Pseudomonas risk.
