How it works

AquaVial PRO uses surface plasmon resonance (SPR) gold-colloid nanoparticles. Bacteria in the sample trigger aggregation of the colloid, producing a visible color shift proportional to bacterial load. Read at room temperature without incubation.

  • Action threshold: 500 CFU/mL total bacteria

How it works

AquaVial PRO500 uses gold-nanoparticle Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) chemistry. Bacterial cell surface molecules trigger nanoparticle aggregation, producing a visible color shift in 15 minutes — without incubation. The 500 CFU/mL threshold matches CDC dental waterline and many drinking-water screening guidelines.
