ExactBlue’s innovative solutions across a vatiety of industries enable businesses to improve safety, minimize downtime, and reduce the costs associated with microbial contamination and regulatory compliance.

Farmers are required to monitor and test the water provided to animals, used in irrigation and washing of fresh produce. Organic growers must test produce for E.coli contamination from fertilizer. Similarly, fish and seafood farmers have to test and monitor both the water and their farmed animals for microbial contaminants.

ExactBlue® instills farmers with the confidence that their water is free of E.coli while eliminating the long lab testing process. It also provides fresh packagers with a tool to test packages produced in each shift, limiting the impact of an E.coli contamination, and preventing recalls.

Food manufacturing facilities are required to perform periodic environmental monitoring (testing surfaces, water, air, in-process and finished products) for microbial contamination.

The requirements for water used in manufacturing are that the total microbial load is under 100 CFU/ml and no objectionable microorganisms are detected. There is a significant push in the industry for real-time microbial monitoring, similar to what is done in terms of chemical composition monitoring. ExactBlue’s offerings will be part of the solution.

In the pharmaceutical industry, the cost of a microbial outbreak in a production facility can be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars when considering production delays, product costs, and remediation costs.

Current water testing, as described in US and EU Pharmacopeia, requires 2 to 5 days to produce results; time in which drugs are stuck in processing operations (cannot be shipped). Given the move toward just-in-time manufacturing, this delay is a significant impediment to production scheduling

Testing and certification practices in several developing countries lack organization, sophistication, and technology. The lack of basic supporting infrastructure for setting up testing laboratories acts as a major challenge to the growth of the market.

In many industries, Environmental Consulting firms are responsible for managing the risk for clients around ever-increasing health guidelines and safety standards. These consulting and firms are great partners that actively seek out new environmental testing technologies to roll out to their clients either for specific purposes such as well.

Aerosolized water from sinks, drains, and toilets can pose the risk of harbouring antibiotic-resistant pathogens that can cause harm in immuno-compromised patients, and be difficult to eradicate using medication.

According to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and CDC , “it is essential that hospitals and nursing homes have a water management program that is effective in limiting Legionella and other opportunistic pathogens of premise plumbing from growing and spreading in their facility.”

DENTAL

Given the temperature of the lines around 20⁰C (68F) and structure of water lines, dental lines and related equipment are a prime habitat for bacteria and some pathogens. There is liability for passing on infections to patients, and service personnel. The dental practice is responsible to ensure that the water used in dental procedures, at a minimum, meets drinking water standards: no E.Coli and less than 500 CFU/ml total bacteria and fungi.

ExactBlue allows dental professionals to proactively address the challenges in maintaining waterlines free of biofilm and potentially dangerous pathogenic bacteria, especially during warm seasons or after a dental office closure.

Water quality is essential in the hospitality industry, where water is used for drinking, cooking, cleaning, and recreational activities like pools and spas. Contaminated water can lead to significant health risks for guests, including gastrointestinal illnesses and skin infections. Water used in these facilities must meet strict safety standards.

By utilizing our advanced testing solutions, hospitality providers can conduct efficient and rapid water quality checks, prevent outbreaks, and meet regulatory compliance requirements. This proactive approach not only protects the health of guests but also safeguards the reputation of the business.

Stagnant or improperly treated water in pools and spas can become a breeding ground for bacteria like Pseudomonas, Legionella, and E. coli, which can cause infections and illnesses in bathers.

Real-time water testing solutions help pool and spa operators stay ahead of potential contamination issues. These solutions provide rapid results, allowing for immediate corrective actions to be taken before any health risks arise and avoiding costly shut downs.
